Botanical Name: Calathea Ornata
The Pinstripe Calathea is characterized by light pink pinstripes on a large dark green leaf. Great for a spark of depth and color in any home. This plant is a little particular about it's watering, but ultimately an easy plant to care for.
Approximately 14" in height currently, but can reach 3-6 feet in full maturity.
- Watering: The Calathea is known for being susceptible to root rot, so make sure you let it dry out in between waterings. Check the soil to see how dry it is every week or so. This plant doesn't like moist soil, but not completely dry. Depending on the environment/humidity it's in, it should be watered every two weeks.
- Light: Calathea prefer indirect bright light. They sometimes do well in partial sun, but be cautious of direct sun as it can burn or lighten the leaves.
